My online T-Shirt shop

My name is Bill and I run an online t shirt/merchandise shop called Billishirts.  Billishirts is a cafepress shop and I have been enjoying some early success since joining just last month (3/01/09).  I got into the t-shirt business while trying to find avenues to market my girlfriend’s art.  She is a professional artist who showcases her work at different conventions.  She has her own website which is called Kurostudios.net. She does mostly manga and anime both with traditional and digital media.  Enough about her! This is my blog! lol

Anyway, I thought that she should maybe sell some t-shirts at the next convention (The Calgary Comic & Entertainment Convention so I looked into the most cost-effective way to do it.

That is when I stumbled upon Cafepress.  They are a print on demand service (POD) which means all you have to do is make the design and upload it.  It can be printed on shirts, mugs, stickers, magnets, teddy bears, license plate holders, coasters, posters, prints, dog bowls just to name a few.  I thought I would give it a whirl and made a couple of designs for St. Patrick’s Day.

Much to my surprise (and delight!) I managed to make some early sales – after that I was hooked! This blog is much to keep track of my own thoughts and ideas, as well as to help market the shop.  Please take a look and tell me what you think! I LOVE constructive criticism!

Thanks for dropping by!
